WILHELMINA LIGTHART / Founder and Managing Director
Founder of TWL Logistics, Willy brings over 40 years of experience in international trade, freight forwarding and logistics. She has worked across importing, exporting and international trade consultancy, helping clients navigate everything from documentation requirements to complex freight movements. Willy works closely with clients every day, making sure shipments stay on track and nothing gets overlooked along the way.
SHANE WESTON / Operations Manager Asia-Pacific
Shane has been with TWL Logistics since its inception and specialises in import and export operations across the Asia-Pacific region. With extensive operational experience and industry knowledge, he plays a key role in ensuring shipments are managed efficiently and delivered smoothly for clients throughout the region.
BRENDA GOBA / Operations Manager USA-Africa
Brenda joined TWL Logistics in 2014, beginning in administration and accounts before progressing into operations management. She now oversees import operations from the USA and works closely with TWL’s African clients.
YONELA DLAMINI / Accounts Payable and Recievable
Yonela is one of the newer additions to the TWL Logistics team and is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable. She supports the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
ELSABE CARSTENS / Special Project Manager
Elsabe brings extensive experience in the aviation industry, with a background spanning operations, sales support, flight training administration and project coordination. Her passion for aviation and hands-on approach make her a valued part of the TWL Logistics team.
PIERRE DE VILLIERS / Sales and Marketing
Pierre brings extensive experience in sales, marketing and business leadership, having worked with major FMCG companies including Unilever, Tiger Brands and Pioneer Foods. He currently supports TWL Logistics’ sales and marketing initiatives across Africa.
JAN HIVES / Chief Financial Officer
Jan has been TWL Logistics’ CFO since the company began and brings decades of accounting and financial experience to the team. A Certified Practising Accountant since 1987, Jan also spent seven years with the Australian Taxation Department and has extensive knowledge across commercial accounting, compliance and financial operations.
GARY SMITH / Systems Administrator
Gary has worked with computer systems and programming since 1980 and has been using his skills commercially since establishing his own ISP business in 1995. His technical expertise supports the systems that help TWL and its clients operate efficiently behind the scenes.
ALEXANDRA PATRONO-SMITH / Communications and Design Specialist
Alexandra has worked with TWL Logistics since 2015, supporting the company’s branding, digital presence and client communications. From visual design to copywriting and editing, she helps maintain TWL’s professional identity across print and online platforms.
